Tip 6: Use Biodiesel

What is Biodiesel?

Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources such as waste vegetable oil (UVO) or rape seed oil (RME). Biodiesel consists of fatty-acid alkyl esters, and is subsequently often collectively referred to as FAME (fatty-acid methyl ester).

Biodiesel can be blended at any level with petroleum diesel to create a Biodiesel blend or used at 100% (B100). Biodiesel is simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics. It can be used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines without any modification.
